BJUMP Africa has reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing Africa’s next generation of industry leaders and help accelerate their growth.
The group made the reassurance at the unveiling and induction of new mentees into its flagship development programme, the Met Stars Academy at the 2026 Mentors–Mentees Mixer held at the Lagos Marriott Hotel, Ikeja.
The formal induction marked the beginning of a new learning and growth journey for selected participants, who were admitted into the Met Stars Academy following a competitive application and screening process.
The programme is designed to equip young professionals with practical skills, strategic thinking, industry exposure, and access to experienced mentors.
The Met Stars Academy serves as BJUMP’s structured capacity-building platform, providing participants with a blend of classroom-style learning, real-life industry projects, mentorship sessions, and leadership development opportunities. Through this holistic approach, the Academy prepares mentees to thrive in the fast-evolving marketing, communications, and business landscape.
The newly inducted cohort was officially unveiled at the event through a special roll-call presentation, symbolising their transition into an intensive mentorship and professional development phase. The moment was met with strong support from industry leaders, mentors, and partners in attendance.
Speaking on the significance of the Academy, Founder, BJUMP, Bolaji Junaid, described it as a critical tool for bridging the gap between potential and performance.
“The Met Stars Academy is built to help young professionals learn directly from those who have gone ahead, gain real-world exposure, and accelerate their growth. It is about preparing them not just for jobs, but for leadership,” he said.
Participants of the programme are exposed to mentorship from seasoned professionals, industry masterclasses, career coaching, and networking opportunities that enable them to build strong professional identities and sustainable careers.
The induction of the new cohort reflects BJUMP’s continued investment in building a reliable pipeline of skilled, confident, and industry-ready talents who can contribute meaningfully to organisational and national development.
Through the Met Stars Academy, BJUMP Africa aims to raise professionals who are not only technically competent, but also ethically grounded, innovative, and socially responsible.
With each new cohort, the organisation continues to expand its impact, strengthening its role as a leading platform for mentorship, learning, and leadership development across Nigeria and the African continent.
The latest induction further reinforces BJUMP’s vision of creating access to opportunity, promoting excellence, and empowering young professionals to reach their full potential.
