Group Managing Director, Access Bank, Dr. Herbert Wigwe has said that the bank will partner with tertiary institutions in the country in the area of technology innovation to improve learning and research.

He said that the survival of Universities in the future would depend on their ability to adapt to technological changes and challenges, stressing that the bank will contribute its quota towards its realisation.

Speaking with The Guardian shortly after his conferment with the honorary doctorate degree by the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) during its 48th Convocation anniversary, Wigwe tasked Nigerian students to imbibe self-confidence and ability to dare where others have failed to advance in their chosen profession.
