Adamu ties economic growth to technical, vocational education
The Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu has stated the need to give adequate attention to vocational and technical education as a tool to economic recovery.
At the 30th convocation of Yaba College of Technology in Lagos yesterday, he noted: “In Nigeria and indeed all over the world, the importance of technical and vocational education cannot be over-emphasised. It holds the key to pragmatic industrial growth and development of our economy.
This informs the emphasis placed by government on this and entrepreneurship education to boost job creation and poverty alleviation.”
Represented by Mr. Joel Samuel Ojo, the Director, Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, the minister assured that the Federal Government would continue to promote entrepreneurship culture, as well as research and development.
