Adebisi urges calm amid Ayobo-Ipaja community protests
The Lagos State House of Assembly member, representing Alimosho Constituency I, Yusuf Adebisi, has urged calm in Ayobo-Ipaja community amid protests against the just-concluded community election.
Adebisi, who spoke yesterday while addressing representatives from the community at the Lagos State secretariat, urged them to cease protests and follow due process towards settlement.
The representatives from Ayobo and Ipaja segments said that the just-concluded chairmanship election for the Community Development Committee (CDC) was rigged and the winner, Olokede Oke, was not the people’s choice.
Also, a representative of Ipaja Community Development Association (CDA), Chief Femi Olowolagba, who was also a contestant for the CDC chairmanship position, said that he was the choice of Ayobo and Ipaja people but was denied the position.
