The founding partner of Hablaw Legal Practitioners and social justice advocate, Habib Adebiyi, has been appointed a member of the legal committee of the Ogun State campaign council of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 elections in the state.

The Ogun State governor and chairman of the campaign council, Dapo Abiodun, inaugurated the council, charging members to immediately commence consultations, grassroots mobilisation, and sustained engagement with voters across the state.

The governor also directed members to translate the council’s organisational structure into effective action across the state and to commence consultations and campaign activities without delay.

Adebiyi’s appointment into the 19-man legal committee of the council was announced on 17 September, and the chairman of the committee is Sina Ogungbade, SAN.

According to Adebiyi, the legal committee functions to ensure that the campaign complies with applicable electoral laws, regulations, and guidelines, and to advise on legal requirements relating to the candidate’s nomination and eligibility.

Other functions of the committee include handling or coordinating responses to petitions, complaints, objections, and other electoral disputes, as well as providing legal representation.

Adebiyi regarded his appointment into the legal committee of the Ogun State APC campaign council as an honour and an opportunity to serve the party and the state.

Grateful for the recognition of his commitment, loyalty, and service, he added that he does not take the appointment for granted.

“I see it as a privilege and a responsibility to contribute meaningfully to the success of the campaign and humanity at large,” he said.

Hablaw Legal Practitioners, in a statement, felicitated Adebiyi on the appointment and the confidence bestowed on him to take on the responsibility.
