General overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has predicted that Nigeria has a brighter future, urging that righteousness among Nigerians was needed for prompt restoration of its glory.

Adeboye, represented by the Regional Pastor of Region Four of the RCCG, Ezekiel Afolayan at Ilorin, the Kwara State capital said the, “stolen glory of Nigeria” could not be divorced from the present economic recession in the country.

Quoting from Judges chapter 16 verses 16-20, Adeboye at the maiden convention of Redeemer Men’s Fellowship (RMF) Kwara Province Four, lamented the past glorious days of Nigeria when the Naira was stronger than the Dollar.

He blamed Nigerian officials, who through sinful acts, defiled the country’s glory causing hardships to majority Nigerians. He prayed for prompt restoration of the departed glory, noting that it would only be feasible if Nigerians shun their sinful ways and live their lives pleasing God.

Adeboye, who alluded to the story of Lazarus in the Bible whose glory was buried before Jesus brought him out of the graves, “after spending four days inside the graves,” prophesied that Nigeria would henceforth begin the manifestation of its greatest glory.

Speaking on the theme of the convention, ‘Higher Glory,’ he warned that the sword of God would cut off “the suckers” sucking the glory of Nigeria, “unless they are ready to change for better.According to him, “Nigeria was not built on empty foundation, but rich in human and natural resources, but lamented that it has nothing to show for it.”
