In a statement signed by the Editorial Board Chairman, Yakubu Lawal, a panel of industry experts was constituted as advisers to strengthen the credibility and content of the awards.
He explained that the 2026 edition of the ENERGY TIMES Award is designed to recognise individuals and organisations driving transformation in the energy sector and improving lives across the country.
Energy Times, organisers of the award, began as a weekly newspaper and has since evolved into a bi-weekly publication based in Lagos. Established in March 2017, the publication focuses on in-depth energy reportage and analysis in Nigeria.
Adelabu is expected to lead stakeholders in the NESI to the event as Special Guest of Honour, where he will also be decorated with an award. Governor Yahaya will be honoured as Energy Governor of the Year for his rural and urban energy infrastructure development initiatives in Gombe State.
