Adeleke congratulates Aregbesola, others on national honours award

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, yesterday, congratulated former governors of the state, Rauf Aregbesola and Gboyega Oyetola, and musician, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido and other indigenes that bagged different national honours awards conferred on them by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, yesterday, congratulated former governors of the state, Rauf Aregbesola and Gboyega Oyetola, and musician, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido and other indigenes that bagged different national honours awards conferred on them by President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a statement by spokesperson to the governor, Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke noted that the award is in recognition of their noble and immense contributions to the growth and development of the state and the country in general.

Other recipients of the national honours award included former governor of the state, Bisi Akande, Olowu of Kuta Kingdom, Oba (Dr.) Hammed Oyelude, among others.

The governor, who noted that all the awardees had distinguished themselves in different ways and areas for them to be recognised by the President, added that they are worthy ambassadors of the state and that Osun State is proud of them.

He said: “I sincerely congratulate all the indigenes of Osun State who bagged different national awards. This is indeed in recognition of their noble and immense contributions to the growth and development of Osun, as well as Nigeria. They have all distinguished themselves in different ways and areas to have been recognised by the President and such people deserve to be celebrated.”

“I must say that they all are worthy ambassadors of the state and as the governor, I am proud of them, Osun is proud of them.”
