Her re-election took place on Thursday morning during the 35th ordinary plenary session of AFCAC held in Brazzaville, Congo, where she received 22 votes in her favor and seven against. This resounding victory reflects the confidence of AFCAC member states in her visionary leadership and accomplishments.

Tunde Moshood, Special Adviser to Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, stated that Nigeria’s minister played a crucial role in this success by attending the conference in Brazzaville. He noted that the minister spearheaded strategic diplomatic engagements with African Union member states, rallying support for Ms. Adeyemi’s candidacy. His efforts were key in reinforcing Nigeria’s influence and shaping the future of aviation on the continent.

Responding to the news, the minister remarked, “This is not just a win for Nigeria but for the entire African aviation industry. Ms. Adeyemi’s re-election reaffirms her exceptional contributions to the commission, particularly in fostering integration and sustainable growth in African aviation.
