AG Leventis shows support for frontline health workers

As more than 180 countries around the world, including Nigeria, continue to battle the COVID-19 pandemic, one of the leading conglomerates in the country, AG Leventis, has advised people to observe social distancing and not emotional distancing.

The company also thanked frontline health workers in Nigeria that have been working to contain the virus.

“As we enter the fourth week of the lockdown, we at A.G. Leventis would like to take a moment to be thankful to all the key frontline staff duty-bound and putting all on the line whilst we stay at home to flatten the curve,” AG Leventis’s spokesman Tunde Oyelola said.

“Remember that we are supposed to observe ‘social-isolation’ and not ‘emotional-isolation’.”

Official figures published by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Thursday night showed that a total of 981 cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed in Nigeria. 197 persons have been discharged while 31 fatalities have been recorded.
