Leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress in Agege and Orile Agege, Lagos, have declared strong support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Lagos State Deputy Governor, Kadri Obafemi Hamzat.

The Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Agege in collaboration with Justice Forum, disclosed their support for President Tinubu at their general meeting of the party held at Agege yesterday.

The stakeholders present at the meeting include the Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, Hon. Kayode Opeifa; former member of the House of Representatives, Agege Federal Constituency, Dr Samuel Adejare; former Lagos House of Assembly member, Yinka Ogundimu, and chairman, Presidential Campaign Council, Sabitu Kamorudeen, among others.

The meeting, which drew party faithful, stakeholders and grassroots mobilisers, served as a platform to reaffirm loyalty to the party’s leadership and strengthen mobilisation efforts ahead of future political engagements.

Speaking at the event, Mr Kamorudeen, Opeifa and other leaders within the Agege APC structure pledged continued support for Tinubu’s administration, commending his leadership and policies.

Opeifa urged the members to converge at Tafawa Balewa’s Square on May 10 to drum support for Tinubu and Hamzat.

They also expressed confidence in Hamzat’s role in sustaining governance in Lagos State.

The council further passed a vote of confidence in party structures within Agege, describing the area as a stronghold of the APC with a track record of delivering electoral victories.

They called for unity among party members, urging them to remain committed to the ideals of the APC and to continue mobilising support at the grassroots.

Also at the gathering were notable political figures, including Hon. Kayode Opeifa and Alhaji Komoludeen, who echoed the call for cohesion within the party.

In a related development, the council endorsed Hon. Babatunde Adetunji, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Agege Constituency, praising his performance and representation alongside others candidates.

The endorsement, according to party leaders, reflects confidence in his legislative contributions and alignment with the broader vision of the APC in Lagos State.

The meeting concluded with renewed commitments by party members to sustain political engagement, strengthen grassroots structures and uphold the party’s dominance in Agege and beyond.
