
The Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 2 Command, Mr. Adegoke Fayoade, has reiterated his commitment to fighting crime in Lagos and Ogun.

A statement issued by the Zonal Public Relations Officer (ZPRO), SP Umma Ayuba, said Fayoade gave the commitment during his courtesy visit to Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, at his palace in Lagos on Monday.
The statement said that Fayoade paid the visit to receive the royal father’s blessings and fatherly advice.
“The AIG was received at the palace by the oba, in company with white cap chiefs.

“During the visit, which lasted an hour, the Lagos traditional ruler applauded the AIG for his patriotism and unwavering commitment to serving the nation and humanity.
“Oba Akiolu, while commending AIG Fayoade, confessed to having followed the AIG’s career path since he was Divisional Police Officer, Bar Beach Police Station,” the statement said.

It said that the traditional ruler also appreciated the police chief for being an exceptional, seasoned, devoted, incorruptible, disciplined, and proactive officer.
The AIG, according to the statement, pledged his respect for tradition and culture, the rule of law and community engagement in policing.
