Aim for united Igbo nation, Uzodimma tells new Ohanaeze president

The Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, has urged the newly elected President General of the apex Igbo socio-political organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, John Azuta-Mbata, and his executive to consolidate on the gains of past administrations and ensure that the vision of a united and prosperous Igbo nation remains paramount.
Uzodimma said this in a statement following the successful conclusion of the election in Enugu that produced Azuta-Mbata.
The governor described Azuta-Mbata’s victory as well-deserved, adding that it reflects his steadfast commitment to the Igbo cause.
He said the peaceful conduct of the election is a testament to the harmonious and progressive nature of the Igbo people, adding that “it underscores our collective resolve to advance the growth and unity of the Igbo nation.”
He appreciated the organisation’s continued transformation and how it projects not only the rich culture of the people but also their renowned enterprising spirit.
“This transformation serves the critical purpose of fostering sustainable development and positioning the Igbo nation for greater accomplishments,” he said.
Uzodimma concluded by assuring the leadership of his maximum support towards achieving noble goals.
