AISSON holds security conference Dec 4

The Association of Industrial Security and Safety Operators of Nigeria (AISSON) would commence this year’s edition of the yearly security conference on Tuesday, December 4 at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Victoria Island, Lagos.

The Association of Industrial Security and Safety Operators of Nigeria (AISSON) would commence this year’s edition of the yearly security conference on Tuesday, December 4 at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Victoria Island, Lagos.

The theme of the conference, to be chaired by the former Commandant of the National Defence College, Abuja, Rear Admiral S.I. Alade (rtd) is themed, ‘Mitigating Critical Security Risks- From Policy To Action.’

The conference, which examines critical security risks in Nigeria and West Africa, would focus on strategies for mitigating critical risks in the sub-region, challenges of Boko Haram insurgency, West African Jihadi groups, arms proliferation, rampant terrorism, cross-border banditry, kidnapping and the farmers/herders violence that continues to defy solution in the region, with a view to providing new solutions to these enduring security challenges.

A statement signed by AISSON’s spokesperson, Mrs. Tope Adesuyi, listed keynote speakers to include Maj-Gen. Ohis Ejemai (rtd); Maj-Gen. Sylvester A. Audu (rtd), Prof. Kemi Rotimi of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU); Mr. Innocent Chukwuma of the Ford Foundation and Dr. Ona Ekhomu, security expert and president of the AISSON.
