Ajadi hails Ooni of Ife at 51, describes him as symbol of unity, vision

The Southwest Chieftain of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, has congratulated the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, on his 51st birthday, describing him as a monarch whose reign continues to embody peace, unity, and wisdom.

In a goodwill message issued on Friday, Ajadi extolled the Ooni’s leadership qualities, noting that his influence extends far beyond the traditional sphere. He described the revered monarch as a bridge-builder and visionary whose reign has brought honour to the Yoruba people and to Nigeria as a whole.

“Kabiyesi is not just a monarch; he is a peacemaker and a unifying force whose wisdom continues to inspire both the old and young across Nigeria. His reign is a perfect blend of tradition and modernity, promoting harmony and national development,” Ajadi said.

The NNPP chieftain, who was also the party’s presidential aspirant in the 2023 general election, recalled his visit to the Ooni’s palace in May 2022 during his nationwide consultations. He said the warm reception and insightful counsel he received from the monarch reflected the Ooni’s open-mindedness and deep commitment to Nigeria’s unity.

Ajadi further praised the Ooni’s consistent advocacy for youth empowerment, cultural preservation, and peaceful coexistence across Africa. According to him, the monarch’s initiatives have elevated the global recognition of Yoruba culture and strengthened inter-ethnic relations.

“As we celebrate His Imperial Majesty at 51, we honour a royal father whose vision continues to illuminate the path of peace and progress. I join millions of Nigerians and well-wishers around the world in praying for his long life, good health, and continued reign in wisdom,” Ajadi said.

He added that the Ooni’s leadership remains a model of how traditional institutions can serve as catalysts for unity, social development, and cultural pride.
