Akeredolu appoints new HoS, retains Owena Press boss


Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has approved the appointment of Mr. John Adeniran Adeyemo as the Head of Ondo State Public Service, retaining Ademola Adetula as the Chairman/Editor-in-Chief of the Owena Press Limited.

In a statement made available to journalists in Akure, yesterday, by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Olabode Olarinde, the governor said the appointment was in recognition of Adeyemo’s track record of years of dedication, trustworthiness, reliability and efficiency.

Akeredolu charged him to sustain the current robust relationship among the state workforce, labour leaders and the government while pursuing excellence in the state public service.

He said the new Head of Service would be sworn in today, Friday, March 12, 2021, at the International Centre for Culture and Event (The DOME), Akure.

He added that the appointment of Adetula as the Chairman/Editor-in-Chief of Owena Press Limited, Publishers of The Hope, takes immediate effect.

The governor, who expressed trust in the capacity and ability of Adetula in providing sturdy editorial direction for the newspaper, urged him to superintend over the affairs of the organisation till the board is fully constituted. He charged him to sustain effective leadership for the newspaper with high level of professionalism.
