Akwa Ibom State Commissioner of Police, Zaki Ahmed, has called on youths to desist from cultism, which he said leads to robbery and kidnapping.

During his familiarisation tour to Eket Divisional Headquarters/Eket Area Command, the CP promised to work towards the realisation of additional divisional headquarters in the council.

Ahmed, however, revealed that adequate security anywhere in the world was a joint effort of security agencies and members of the public.

The council chairman, Frank Archibong, had earlier requested additional police divisional headquarters in the area for effective policing.
