Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Yusuf Ali, has expressed readiness to mobilise his professional colleagues in support of the work being done by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in the interest of the socio-economic development of the country.

Making the commitment, yesterday, during a visit to the Chairman/Chief Executive of NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Mohammed Marwa (rtd) in Abuja, the legal luminary said his decision to support NDLEA was borne out of his appreciation of the good works Marwa was leading his officers and men to do for the country, as well as his conviction that overcoming Nigeria’s drug scourge would help solve the country’s security challenges.

While commending Marwa for recalibrating NDLEA and making it an effective frontline Agency, the legal icon expressed support for the agency at personal or official levels in the anti-drug war.

Thanking Ali for the visit, Marwa said whatever had been achieved in NDLEA was been largely due to the support and commitment of the officers and men of the agency.

He said NDLEA would hold further talks with the legal luminary on areas of assistance, especially in the prosecution of some high-profile cases in court.

The NDLEA boss seized the opportunity to decorate the SAN as Special Ambassador for the War Against Drug Abuse (WADA).
