All presidential aspirants should campaign by road, Bafarawa
A Presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Attahiru Bafarawa, has charged President Muhammadu Buhari and other aspirants to travel by road.
Bafarawa, who was in Cross River State for consultations and support, decried the deplorable state of roads, especially in the Southsouth and Southeast.
The former Sokoto State governor told reporters at the PDP secretariat in Calabar that it was necessary for anyone wanting to be president to see things as they really are and be faced with realities.
He said: “I am aspiring to get PDP ticket because I want to serve the people, and I decided not to stay in Abuja or go by air.
That is why I spent my time to tour the entire southern and eastern states by road.
“I can afford to go by air. I can afford to take flights for my campaign, but I decided to see things for myself, so that if elected, I would know where to start.
