Anambra CP tasks officers on diligent performance of duties

The Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, Aderemi Adeoye, yesterday tasked the newly promoted officers to rededicate themselves to duty while carrying out official assignments in the state.

The Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, Aderemi Adeoye, yesterday tasked the newly promoted officers to rededicate themselves to duty while carrying out official assignments in the state.
Adeoye gave the charge at the state’s Command headquarters, Awka, while decorating 288 Inspectors serving in the Command to the next rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP II).
He urged the officers to reciprocate the recognition by putting more effort into protecting the citizenry and securing the State.
The decoration was sequel to approval by the Police Service Commission for the promotion of the Police Officers on the recommendation of the Inspector-General of Police, Acting IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.
While congratulated the newly promoted officers, Adeoye thanked the IGP for making welfare of personnel a top priority on his agenda.
He assured ‘Ndi Anambra’ thaxt the Command under his watch will continue to serve and protect the citizens with integrity.
Adeoye noted that it was symbolic that on his 33rd day in office as the 33rd Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, has trusted the responsibility on him to decorate these 288 newly promoted officers.
