A member of the House of Representatives representing Ihiala Federal Constituency of Anambra State in the National Assembly (NASS), Hon. Paschal Agbodike, has attracted a road reconstruction project to his constituency.

Already, works have resumed on the Ihiala–Orlu Road, in addition to the total reconstruction of Umuogu Okija Hall, with perimeter fencing, provision of a borehole facility and installation of a solar lighting system in the constituency, courtesy of the federal lawmaker.

Also, the construction of eight buildings at St. Augustine’s Community Secondary School, Mbosi, which were vandalised by hoodlums during the reign of terror by unknown gunmen, is ongoing in the area.

Recall that Mbosi was one of the local government areas of the state under the control of unknown gunmen until Governor Chukwuma Soludo set up Udogachi Security Operation to send them packing.

The buildings at St. Augustine’s Community Secondary School, Mbosi, were among the public structures reduced to rubble following attacks by daredevil hoodlums, while students were forced to escape to safety.

Agbodike expressed mixed feelings about the intervention, which is bringing hope to parents, guardians and students whose future looked bleak for years after the mayhem by hoodlums. In addition, Agbodike has also promised to rebuild four other structures at Community Primary School, Mbosi, which were equally vandalised and destroyed by unknown gunmen, to increase the number of his interventions to 12 in the nearest future.

Reacting, the Chairman of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Ihiala Local Government Council Chapter, Pastor Azuka Okoli, appreciated Agbodike for his intervention in addressing the pitiable condition of the school.
Okoli, who is a native of Mbosi community, revealed that St. Augustine’s Community Secondary School, Mbosi, was once adjudged the best secondary school in the entire Anambra South Senatorial District on account of the many laurels and awards won by the school. According to him, the reconstruction efforts by Agbodike are the only way to restore the school’s lost glory.
He further lauded the federal legislator for his disposition to extend the intervention to Mbosi Community Primary School.
