Another Catholic priest kidnapped in Enugu
Unknown gunmen, Friday night, kidnapped Rev Fr. Theophilus Ndulue, the parish priest of St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Ihuonyia, Amansiodo, Ndiagu Oghe, Ezeagu in Enugu State.
He was kidnapped along Amansiodo Road, while returning to the Parish house at about 8pm. Information about his whereabouts remained unknown as at the time of filing this report
Enugu Police Public Relations Officer, Ebere Amaraizu confirmed the kidnap.
He said the abductors were yet to make contacts with church members or relations, and that the police were already on the trail of his abductors.
It would be recalled that Vice Rector, Queen of Apostle Spiritual Year Seminary, Imezi Owa, Ezeagu Council of the state, Rev Fr. Arinze Madu was kidnapped two weeks ago.
Gunmen kidnapped Madu in front of the Seminary gate. He spent four days in captivity. It has not been ascertained how much was paid to secure his freedom.
Ndulue’s kidnap is coming two months after two Catholic priests were killed in the state.
