The Magistrate’s Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State capital, has struck out the defamation case instituted by Aare Afe Babalola against human rights lawyer,

The legal team of the prosecution, led by Martins Akala, during the hearing, yesterday, sought the leave of the court to withdraw the charges against Farotimi, adding that the withdrawal is from the instruction of the police authority.

The defence team, led by AdejareKembi, did not object to the prosecution’s request that the case be withdrawn. In his ruling, the Magistrate, Abayomi Adeosun, having listened to both parties in the case, thereby struck out the case as requested by the prosecution.
