The importance of teacher education in a knowledge-driven economy cannot be over-emphasised as it contributes immensely to raising viable workforce that act as change-agents.

This is the theme of the 36th, 37th and 38th joint convocation of Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education (AOCOED), Oto-Ijanikin, Lagos State.

According to the Registrar of the college, Shehu Abdulquadri Oladamola Muhideen, the event, slated for Tuesday, May 14, 2019, will be chaired by the Chairman, Governing Council of the college, Prof. Tunde Samuel.

However, Prof. S.G. Odewunmi will on Thursday, May 9, 2019, deliver the convocation lecture titled “Teacher Education in a Knowledge Economy and Quest for University Status for Colleges of Education in Nigeria.”
