A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Tony Okocha, has said the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has reintegrated the state into national politics.
Okocha, who served as Chief of Staff, Government House, during the second term of former Governor Chibuike Amaechi, said before the coming of Wike in 2015, the state used to play opposition politics which affected it badly.

According to Okocha, Wike’s reconnection of the state to the centre would bring good deeds between the state and the Federal and ensure a thriving economy.

Okocha spoke yesterday in Port Harcourt, after receiving an award of excellence from the Ikwerre Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (IMPAN).

“In the political scene today in Rivers state, and the bid where Rivers state is back to the national politics; Governor Wike and his PDP family in Rivers state paid the Piper and he who pays the Piper, dictated the tune.”he insisted.

He also disclosed that he will lead Rivers APC to Abuja for the May 29th inauguration of the president elect,Bola Tinubu.

He said, he would lead delegates from the state first for pre-inaugural Christian prayers in Unity Fountain in Abuja on May 27, from where they would proceed to the nation’s Eagle Square for the Presidential Inauguration proper.

“Our pavilion will not going to be empty, we’re going there in a grabs style, in our Rivers style and fashion, and I, Tony Okocha will be leading the delegation for the two national events.” he stated

“We must continue up to speak the truth on the political issues in the state. Truth might be bitter though, but the much I know is that there is nothing bitter in the attribute of the word, truth.
