APC chieftain tasks party on respect for internal democracy
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Waziri Bulama, has said for the APC to remain in power for decades, it must ensure internal democracy.Bulama, a former governorship aspirant on the platform of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in Borno State in 2011, warned against military intervention in the nation’s democracy, saying such has become old fashioned.
He said despite challenges, the APC has continued to wax stronger and would remain a good example of a refined political party working hard to deliver on its mandate.Bulama, who is seeking the office of the national secretary of the APC, enjoined stakeholders to work assiduously to improve on the quality of democracy in the country by basing every decision on constitutional provisions.
