APC denies rejection of its guber candidate

Cross River State All Progressives Congress (APC) has said there was no truth in the allegation by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that APC gubernatorial candidate’s kinsmen have rejected him.

It would be recalled that Senator John Owan-Enoh’s elder brother, the Vice Chancellor of Cross River State University of Technology (CRUTECH), Prof. Anthony Owan-Enoh reportedly endorsed the sitting governor.

But the party’s Publicity Secretary, Mr. Bassey Ita described the endorsement as a hoax. “Our attention has been drawn to a trending media report by agents of Sen. Ben Ayade-led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which stated that Sen. John Owan Enoh’s kinsmen have rejected APC Governorship Candidate and have endorsed Sen. Ben Ayade for the March 2, 2019 governorship poll.

“One is not surprised that the said rejection of Sen. Owan-Enoh by his kinsmen alleged by Ayade’s agents is just another ‘digital lie of the century’.

“For emphasis, APC governorship candidate was last week endorsed by 15 political parties’ governorship candidates. The number is still counting, and more are reaching out for endorsement.”
