Declaring his intention to contest the state’s governorship on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), yesterday, Gwamna explained that the experience of the past three years in the state necessitated a rescue mission.
The governorship aspirant told journalists that he decided to tour the 11 local councils of the state to assure the people of hope, expressing his resolve to rescue Gombe from economic despair.
While narrating the unprecedented hardship Gombe people have allegedly been subjected to by the APC government, Gwamna lamented that “falsehood has become part of government’s policy” to cover its ineptitude.
He, therefore, assured that his drive was to harness the resources of the state for the benefit of the generality of the people.
“If democracy is the government of the people by the people and for the people, then the resources must be managed in a way to benefit the people.
“I am here to serve and not to be served. I have empowered many youth and women with my personal resources and I know I can do more with the resources of the state to improve the living standard of Gombe people,” he added.
