The immediate past Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, has attributed his political successes to God, President Bola Tinubu and past President Muhammadu Buhari.

Aregbesola stated this, yesterday, at a civic reception organised by Concerned Muslim Scholars and Clerics in South Western Nigeria in Oyo town, Oyo State.

He said without their support and influence in his journey, it would have been considerably more challenging to serve the people effectively and accomplish the feats that were being celebrated.

The former minister also recognised the historical importance of Yoruba Empire, adding that it holds great significance for any right-thinking Yoruba person.

“I equally thank the people who made the achievement that facilitated this reception possible, starting with people who mentored me in Lagos. Also, those that facilitated my emergence as the governor of Osun State made it possible for me to do the little things the whole people are celebrating with me.”

“If any appreciation and gratitude could be given to me, I would believe greater gratitude should be given to President Bola Tinubu and former President Muhammadu Buhari because without their support, it would have been difficult for me to achieve and render service to the people.”

The Islamic leaders, who commended Aregbesola for his leadership trait, urged him to continue to be a good ambassador of Islam and a quintessential politician.
