Arise conference ends with medical screening, COVID-19 vaccination
Arise women non-governmental organisation (NGO) has ended its 2021 conference, rendering free medications, medical screening on malaria, hypertension and eye infections, among others, including COVID-19 vaccination to its members.
The conference, held yesterday at Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), City of David (COD), Victoria Island, Lagos, had in attendance women from all walks of life, including wife of Kwara State Governor, Mrs. Olufolake Abdul-Rasak, wife of Lagos State Deputy Governor, Mrs. Oluremi Hamzat, among other notable women in the society. It also featured preaching, praises, dancing and chorography, among others in order to entertain guests.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO)/Convener of the NGO, Dr. Siju Iluyomade, said it was important to pause, reflect and revive oneself while eschewing fear and negativity caused by COVID-19 and economic hardship in life of women. `
