Army to host CoAS second, third quarters conference

All is set for the Nigerian Army (NA) to hold the Chief of Army Staff Combined Second and Third Quarters Conference 2024 at the Council of Chiefs Hall, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, from Monday, August 26, to Friday, August 30, 2024.

The conference will provide the Army leadership, senior commanders, and participants with the opportunity to review ongoing operations, training, and other activities in fulfilling its constitutional mandate.

According to Army spokesman, Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, the event will also allow for strategic projections for the fourth quarter and a comprehensive review of counter-insurgency, anti-banditry efforts, and other critical operations across the country.

He said, “Participants will gain insights into the Chief of Army Staff’s next agenda for the NA. The conference will feature presentations on operations, administration, logistics, and other key events from the Nigerian Army Forecast of Events 2024.

“Essential decisions aimed at enhancing the Army’s functionality and effectiveness will also be considered.”

The conference will include Principal Staff Officers of Army Headquarters, Corps, Formation and Operations Commanders, Commandants of NA Schools and Tri-service Institutions, as well as selected NA officers serving in key appointments and tri-service establishments.
