Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has reassured that if elected, he will do his best to tap the experience, knowledge and skills of Nigerians from different parts to address the country’s challenges.

Tinubu, his running mate, Kashim Shettima; and the Director General of APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State, on Tuesday night, met with the party’s campaign advisers and patrons at the headquarters in Abuja.

The Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Governor of Plateau, Dr. Makut Macham, stated, yesterday, that the patrons and advisers comprise former governors, federal lawmakers, ministers, accomplished politicians and other former senior government appointees.

The patrons and advisers are politicians of repute, who have done so much for the growth of democracy in Nigeria and have worked for the party, Tinubu added, expressing delight that the patrons were backing him and his vision to give Nigeria renewed hope.

Shettima said the wide acceptance of their ticket demonstrated that Nigerians were moving beyond the politics of ethnic and religious sentiments to capacity and excellence.

On his part, Lalong thanked the patrons and advisers for availing themselves to support the Tinubu/Shettima campaign because of their conviction in the ticket to carry all Nigerians along.

Lalong said because of their experience, vast connections and followership, the PCC carved out a great opportunity for them to support the campaigns and ensure that it does not derail.

The DG said he was looking forward to having them in Jos for the flag-off of the campaigns, which will herald the nationwide movement to engage the people.

IN continuation of his strategic engagement with players in key sectors of the economy, Tinubu will, today, meet with the mining community in Lafia, Nasarawa State.

This is disclosed, yesterday, by the Director, Media and Publicity of APC PCC, Bayo Onanuga. Nasarawa is a major mining hub in Nigeria for many solid minerals. It has deposits of gold, barite, coal, clay, lead-zinc, sault, gemstone, silica sand, iron ore, granite, tantalite, marble, mica, cassiterite, limestone and aquamarine.

The APC presidential candidate had, on Monday, met with farmers and agro-commodity traders in Minna, where he shared his Action Plan for the transformation of agriculture.

At the meeting with the mining community, Tinubu will unfold his plan to make mining a major plank of Nigeria’s economic diversification agenda as laid out in his policy document tagged ‘Action Plan for a Better Nigeria’.

Since the launch of the plan by President Muhammadu Buhari on October 21, 2022 at the State House Banquet Hall, Tinubu has been pitching his proposals to various stakeholders in the country.

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa will lead other APC governors, PCC members, party leaders and supporters to the town hall.
