Denies embezzling SOKAPU’s funds
Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate in Kaduna State, Jonathan Asake, has advised his detractors to rethink and join him to rescue Kaduna from the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration at all levels next year.

Asake had been accused of embezzling SOKAPU funds and working to return the APC government to power in 2023.

The former SOKAPU president said he left over N60 million in the coffers of SOKAPU when he decided to pursue his governorship ambition. Advising his critics not to dissipate their energy on bringing him down, he said they should rather join him to confront the insecurity and poor governance that characterised Governor Nasir el-Rufai’s administration.

At an interactive session organised by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kaduna Chapter, at the weekend, Asake pledged to end insecurity and the impact of poor governance, if he assumes office as governor next year.
