Asiwaju to chair Imeko education summit
Emeritus professor, Anthony Asiwaju will on Thursday April 11, this year lead other dignitaries and stakeholders to find solutions to the worrisome education level in Imeko, Imeko/Afon Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The maiden summit with the theme, “Salvaging the vulnerable generation” is being organized by Imeko Development Initiative and Imeko-Afon Resource Education Advancement and Development Initiative will take place at African Regional Institute in Imeko by 10am.
Chairman of the planning committee, Olutunde Anninkan who disclosed that the event which will feature launching of the I-READ centre will also feature Titi Filani as the guest speaker. Annikan said the summit was in reaction to the last education summit in the state where Imeko was listed among two councils in the state with the lowest level of education.
The Onimeko Of Imeko, Ibadan B. A. O. Olanite will lead other royal fathers to the summit.
