The third prosecution witness at the ongoing trial of Chidinma Ojukwu, and two others over alleged murder of the late Super TV Chief Executive Officer, Usifo Ataga, will testify today before a Lagos High Court sitting at Tafa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos.

Chidinma Ojukwu said to be a 300-level Mass Communication student of the University of Lagos is standing trial alongside her sister, Chioma Egbuchu, and Adedapo Quadri before Justice Yetunde Adesanya over Ataga’s murder.

The judge adjourned further hearing on the matter, following lack of composure from the witness, who just arrived at court from Asaba yesterday morning.

The prosecuting counsel Yusuf Sule, has sought for adjournment to enable his witness to settle down.

He said: “We would be asking for an adjournment for tomorrow (today), on the ground that the witness we are calling, just came in from Asaba this morning and he is not really composed.”

His submission was not opposed by the first defendant’s counsel, Onwuka Egwu, second defendant’s counsel,  Babatunde Busari and the third defendant’s counsel O.A. Ogunsanya.

Consequently, Justice Adesanya granted the prosecution oral application for adjournment and adjourned continuation of trial till today, November 30.

At the last adjourned date, a businessman,  Ifeoluwa Oluwo, narrated how he bought the  late Ataga’s Apple MacBook Laptop, for N495,000, from Chidinma Ojukwu.
