Atiku floors Tinubu, Obi in A’Ibom
Presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has won the presidential election in Akwa Ibom State.
The former Vice President secured 214,012 votes to defeat Ahmed Tinubu of All Progressives Congress (APC), who polled 160,620 votes.
Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP) won 132,683 votes.
The state Collation Officer, Prof. Emmanuel Adigio, made the announcement, yesterday.
Adigio is vice chancellor of Nigeria Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Delta State.
Atiku’s victory is a plus for Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel, who is the Chairman of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).
