Autopsy confirms Ifeanyi Adeleke drowned

The controversy and suspicion trailing the tragic death of Ifeanyi Adeleke, son of popular music artiste, Davido and his fiancée, Chioma Rowland, was temporarily laid to rest, yesterday, as the autopsy conducted on the corpse of the three-year-old boy confirmed that he drowned.

The controversy and suspicion trailing the tragic death of Ifeanyi Adeleke, son of popular music artiste, Davido and his fiancée, Chioma Rowland, was temporarily laid to rest, yesterday, as the autopsy conducted on the corpse of the three-year-old boy confirmed that he drowned.
 
Even though the two domestic staff detained by the police are yet to be released, the result rested the suspicion that external forces could have influenced the tragic occurrence.
 
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the report, said, “Autopsy has been concluded. It confirms the boy (Ifeanyi) drowned.”
 


Hundeyin said the two suspects detained in connection with the tragic incident are still being quizzed. “The two suspects are still with us. An autopsy has been concluded…”
 
On whether the principal suspects will be charged in court, the police spokesman said: “I don’t want to preempt that. The investigation is still ongoing.”
 
The young Adeleke, died last Monday as a result of drowning in a swimming pool at his father’s residence, in the Banana Island area of Lagos State.
 
Following the death of the boy, all members of the singer’s domestic staff were detained for questioning by the police. The workers were arrested early Tuesday morning.
 
The little boy who turned three on October 20, was rushed to a hospital in the Lekki area of the state, where he was confirmed dead.
Davido and the mother were said to have travelled for a family gathering in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Monday and left Ifeanyi with his minders.
