Awosika to deliver ARMTI’s 20th annual lecture

The Chairperson of First Bank of Nigeria (FBN) Plc, Mrs. Ibukun Awosika, is expected to deliver the 20th annual lecture of Agricultural and Rural Management Training Institute (ARMTI), Ilorin, Kwara State.

The Chairperson of First Bank of Nigeria (FBN) Plc, Mrs. Ibukun Awosika, is expected to deliver the 20th annual lecture of Agricultural and Rural Management Training Institute (ARMTI), Ilorin, Kwara State.

The lecture series had in the past attracted notable speakers, such as former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Rear Admiral Murtala Nyako, Maj-Gen. Agbazika Innih, Dr. Ishrait Husain of the World Bank, Dr. Louise Setwaeb of the United Nations Food Agricultural Organisation (FAO) and Senate President Bukola Saraki.

According to the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Institute, Mayowa Gidado, the lecture, scheduled for 10am on October 20 at its campus, would have as Discussant, Mr. Babatunde Ogunyemi, Managing Director of Thelma Farms, Ijebu-Ode, in Ogun State.

He said the topic, ‘Promoting Agripreneurship Green Alternative: A Catalyst for National Security and Sustainable Development,’ was cleverly chosen to reflect the agricultural needs of Nigeria.

“It will be an avenue for ARMTI to fulfill one of its core mandates, which is to contribute to policy development to boost better management of the agricultural and rural sector of the nation’s economy,” he added.
