Governor Bagudu disclosed this while fielding questions from journalists shortly after the swearing-in of new corps members at the camp. Expressing dismay at the dilapidated state of the structures at the camp, he said the contractor that handled the project under the last administration poorly constructed them. He said that work would commence on the project in the next few days, adding that the contractor has been mobilised and told to resume at the site.
The governor, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Baba Umar Yauri, warned the new contractor handling the project that the state government would not accept a shoddy job, stressing that he could be prosecuted if he fails to do a good job.
