Bauchi State Police Command has killed 11 bandits, including Madaki Mansur, their kingpin, who have been terrorising Alkaleri Local Council of the state.

The Command’s spokesperson, Ahmed Wakil, in a statement, said Mansur has been terrorising Alkaleri in Bauchi, and other neighboring states of Taraba, Plateau and Gombe.

He said: “On December 19, 2022 at about 02:30hours, a Joint Operation of security operatives engaged suspected bandits/kidnappers in four different hideouts; Mansur, Digare, Gwana and Dajin Madam in Alkaleri forest.

“Following the superior fire-power by operatives, 12 of the kidnappers were neutralized, while others were subdued, dislodged, abandoned their camp and escaped into the nearby bushes with gunshot wounds.

“Consequently, weapons and operational motorcycles were recovered during the operation. Meanwhile, the Command is intensifying efforts to apprehend the fleeing members of the syndicate.”
