About 200 government teachers have begged the Bauchi State Government to release their accumulated salaries, ranging from nine to 59 months.

At a demonstration in front of the state’s Ministry of Education, yesterday, leader of the group, Mr. Bashir Usman, said that some of the teachers had not been paid their salaries from three to 59 months.

Bashir disclosed that the teachers had met the deputy Accountant General of the state, organised labour, trade union congress, and others on the issue.
