Catholic Bishop of Umuahia Diocese, Abia State, Dr. Michael Ukpong, has urged Nigerians to remain hopeful of a better country, noting: “For now, that hope has been crucified by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).”
Giving the advice yesterday, he stated that Easter represents “goodness not evil, love not hate, life not death, till the last say.”
The cleric added: “This fact is particularly important for us Nigerians in the face of what INEC did with the presidential election we have just had. The message of this year’s Easter for the good people of Nigeria is that we should not give up the hope for a new nation, which many of us voted for.”
