The Prelate and moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria (PCN), His Eminence, Dr. Ekpenyong Nyong Akpanika, has called on the country’s leaders to be more proactive in their efforts to lead Nigeria out of the current economic depression, just as he urged governments at all level to be more sincere and resolute in the fight against corruption.

He also tasked the governments to be more resolute in the fight against insecurity and those reaping ungodly benefits from kidnapping, banditry and terrorism.

In his Easter message titled ‘More than conquerors,’ he also admonished the citizenry to be optimistic that with their collective efforts, belief in themselves and determination to contribute their own quota in rebuilding  Nigeria, the country shall fully recover and rise again.

According to the Prelate, “to dubiously top up Nigeria’s litany of woes, the scourge of banditry has re-emerged with vicious vengeance, throwing many communities into panic and state of insecurity.”
