BEDC Electricity Plc, yesterday, reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring customers service improvement and overall performance of the Disco.
Addressing newsmen in Benin City, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, BEDC, Dr. Henry Ajagbawa, reeled out his achievements in his 100 days in office and said its management team worked very hard in the past few months at resetting the culture of the organisation.
“Management had embarked on corporate restructuring, process re-engineering, and indeed financial restructuring, but we have been particular about the culture restructuring.
“We have worked very hard in the past months at resetting the culture of the organisation, but it is still work in progress. We are, however, confident that some progress is being made and the ethos and value system of our people are being positively impacted in many ways.
“This is demonstrably evident in some early gains in customer service improvement and the overall performance of the Disco. We take guidance from these early evidence as the only way to go,” Ajagbawa said.
Ajagbawa, who lamented the high level of infrastructural decay and lack of work tools in the organisation before his takeover, said: “This resulted in suboptimal performance across the company over the years.”
