BEDC restores power to Illah, Idumuje-Unor communities
The Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) yesterday disclosed that it has restored power supply to Illah and Idumuje-Unor communities in Oshimili North and Aniocha North local government areas of Delta State after several years of outage.
A statement issued by Head, Corporate Affairs, Adekunle Tayo in Benin City, Edo State, noted that the communities have been without power supply since the defunct Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN), as a result of dilapidated electricity infrastructure.
Head of Community Relations, BEDC, Mrs. Virginia Osineme, commended the people of the communities for their patience and appealed to residents to adhere to safety rules and the company’s safety initiatives.
“We will continue to collaborate with the people through support of the Transformer Champions to facilitate synergy in our operations,” she added.
