Management of the Benin Electricity Development Company (BEDC) Plc, yesterday, assured its customers of improved electricity supply and enroll its customers on the Electronic Billing (E-Billing) platform.

Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of BEDC, Mrs. Funke Osibodu, made this known during a media briefing in Benin City, Edo State.

Osibodu said the electronic billing would eliminate the risk associated with lost statements and improve reconciliation, while providing history, just as it would reduce identity fraud.

She added that it would help customers to take steps towards greater environmental sustainability, as well as reduce unwanted paper waste.

“Electronic billing is COVID-19 compliant, as there is no physical contact during distribution, which is usually done in a faster, safer and better manner.

“BEDC has been attending to customer complaints further. Complaints showed that Request for Key Change Token (KCT), which amounted to 35, 493, was one of the top three complaints received. This is because of the Service Based Tariff (SRT),” she explained.
