The Benue State Government has said that it is working towards disengaging Internally-Displaced Persons (IDPs) in eight camps across the state.

Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Mr. Emmanuel Shior, who stated this while briefing newsmen, said thousands of persons were displaced as a result of herdsmen’s attack on farming communities of the state, maintaining that the plan to disengage the IDPs include recapitalising them to start life after the camps.
