Binani, SGF issue quit notice to Fintiri, PDP in Adamawa
Senator Aishatu Binani (Adamawa Central), who won the Adamawa State governorship ticket on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), has advised Governor Ahmadu Fintiri to prepare his hand over note, as his government will soon expire.
Also, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, asserted that nothing on earth would stop his party from taking over power from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state
Addressing journalists, yesterday, in Yola, the senator said APC must wrest power from PDP in the state for all-round development.
Binani, who defeated former Governor Bindow Jibrilla, Nuhu Ribadu and three other contestants at the primary election, said nothing could stop her from pushing Fintiri out of government house in 2023.
She called on friends of democracy and good government, especially women, to team up with her to rescue the state from PDP, to enable the state move forward for the benefits of women and youths.
The APC candidate promised to set the pace for development, if elected, with women and youth involvement in leadership.
Reacting to Binani’s victory at the primary election, the SGF said: “I am going to give you all the support you needed to win the election. Physically, I will go round the state to campaign for you and provide all the logistics that can enable you to win the election.
“From today, PDP should start counting its days, there will be nothing like PDP again in Adamawa after the general elections,” he said.
Mustapha, who called on all other contestants to team up with Binani to rescue the state from PDP, pointed out that only a united house could win election.
Binani is the first female to win Adamawa governorship ticket since its creation in 1991.
