Blanche Aigle Communications, a leading public relations and award-winning agency in Africa, has launched its Talent Development Programme, an empowering initiative aimed at equipping young graduates with the practical skills and exposure needed to thrive in today’s communications and digital media industries.
Founded in 2018, the firm has built a stellar reputation in corporate communications, lifestyle PR, events, influencer marketing, and reputation management. The agency’s award-winning portfolio includes high-impact campaigns for brands like Henley & Partners, Aspira’s Viva, Barbie the Movie Premiere, and the Davido Timeless Concert. It was most recently recognised at the SABRE Awards 2024, winning the Diamond Award for Superior Achievement in Brand Building and a Certificate of Excellence for Best in Show for its groundbreaking work on the Hilda Baci Cookathon campaign, among other top honours.
Despite the growing demand for high-impact campaigns, the communications industry faces a shortfall in the skill sets required to deliver them. In Nigeria, where about 600,000 graduates enter the labour market each year, the unemployment rate among degree holders continues to rise.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, youth unemployment among individuals with post-secondary education stood at 9.0 per cent in Q1 2024. This widening gap between academic learning and real-world application underscores Nigeria’s urgent need for graduate internship opportunities and talent development programmes.
It is in response to this, that Blanche Aigle Communications has introduced its Talent Development Programme as a solution offering a six-week immersive training, designed to bridge the gap between classroom theory and industry demands. This initiative supports skills training for youth in Africa, helping graduates transition smoothly into roles within public relations, media, and digital marketing.
Speaking on the launch, the Lead Consultant at Blanche Aigle Communications, Nene Bejide, said: “This programme is our way of building a pipeline of future-ready professionals. We are not just offering internships — we are offering access, training, and the kind of mentorship that can change the course of a young graduate’s career. We believe in creating room for talent, and that starts by giving them the right tools and opportunities to grow.”
The Blanche Aigle Communications Talent Development Programme will see participants engage in live client projects across key focus areas such as strategy, corporate communications, public relations, reputation management, content development, influencer marketing, campaign planning, and brand storytelling. Participants will also benefit from guided workshops and mentorship led by senior professionals, gaining technical knowledge and critical career insight.
Upon completion, trainees will receive a Certificate of Completion and standout candidates may be selected for internship placements lasting three to six months at Blanche Aigle Communications. The program is open to recent graduates passionate about building a career in public relations, digital content creation, event and campaign management, or digital media in Nigeria.
