BPP DG summoned over proposed extra lane on FCT highway

The House of Representatives has summoned the Director General of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP), Mamman Ahmadu, to offer explanations on the proposed third lane on the Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria expressway.

Chairman of the House Committee on Works, Abubakar Kabir Abubakar, issued the summons due to the failure of the BPP boss to honour the panel’s earlier invitation.

The meeting between the committee and the BPP slated for yesterday was abruptly suspended after a director in the agency failed to offer a convincing explanation for the absence of his principal.
